On February 5th, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of CPPCC National Committee, executive chairman of China International Cultural Communication Center, Long Yuxiang met with Mr. Eric Falt, deputy director-general of the UNESCO, held talks, the two sides had the deep communication and reached many important consensuses on officially launched pragmatic cooperation in culture, education, science, sports and other fields.

The meeting in Paris in early November 2017 has yielded fruitful results, CICCC has signed a strategic partnership agreement with UNESCO which opened a new chapter of comprehensive cooperation. At the same time, the director-general of UNESCO, Irina Bokova awarded him the "Five Continents Medal" and issued a certificate. He expressed deep sense of responsibility. This time, the new director-general of UNESCO Audrey Azoulay appointed deputy director-general Eric Falt to visit China, to discuss further pragmatic cooperation with CICCC, which represents the good continuity of the friendly relations between UNESCO and CICCC. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the director general Audrey Azoulay for her support. CICCC will, as always, support the work of UNESCO, and make contributions for achieving the sustainable development, at the same time, look forward for the in-depth exchanges and cooperation between each other.
The deputy director-general Eric Falt thanked Chairman Long Yuxiang for his warm reception and conveyed the greetings from the director general Audrey Azoulay. He said, in November 2017, Long Yuxiang led the CICCC delegation and visited the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris, brought wonderful and impressive artistic performance and Thangka Painting exhibition. He said that since President Xi Jinping paid a visit to the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, the bilateral exchanges and cooperation have proliferated, which brought more opportunities and challenges to both sides. Now the UNESCO is experiencing the transition period, the new director-general Audrey Azoulay appointed him to visit China and to discuss and launch the pragmatic cooperation with CICCC, hoped to keep the continuity of the friendly relations with CICCC, and to carry out more exchanges and cooperation. At the same time, he said that director-general Audrey Azoulay and director-general Irina Bokova are quite similar, they all attached great importance to the exchanges and cooperation with China, very much look forward to working with CICCC and to further deepen pragmatic cooperation in all the fields.
